The final solution now provides a facility for information to be shared among users at three geographically separate sites, the data is secure and protected and the infrastructure maintained and supported by our service engineers.

SARN Technologies Ltd installed a new Fileserver to replace existing server and desktop hardware which was operating to its capacity. Microsoft Small Business Server 2011 was installed on the Fileserver to provide the required functionality. New desktop hardware and software was supplied and set up to ensure the full benefits of the new server were achieved by all users.

SARN Technologies Ltd has a secure data storage facility located on the outskirts of Edinburgh with E-Mail Archiving capability using Symantec’s Enterprise Vault. This service was provided to our client to allow all e-mail to be archived from the Exchange data store to the hosted environment.
The new system now archives all e-mail which is older than 3 months, thus reducing the local storage requirements; ensures optimum performance of the Exchange Server; stores each e-mail in a searchable database linked to the users’ Outlook store for compliance requirements and eliminates the necessity for mailbox restrictions.
